學術專長及研究 Statements of Research Interests

  • Significant Contributions to Science My research has made significant contributions to understanding the mechanisms of cardiovascular and endothelial dysfunctions, testicular development and lung cancer cell deaths. Representative work includes the 2020 study on endothelial dysfunction, the protective effect of standardized Ginkgo Biloba extract against doxorubicin-induced oxidative stress and p53-mediated mitochondrial apoptosis in rat testes, and the 2015 publication on shikonin-induced apoptosis, necrosis and premature senescence in human A549 lung cancer cells.
  • Pharmacology and Toxicology Research and teaching focus on experimental animal research in cardiovascular, testicular and lung functions. These studies examine disease progression, identify potential therapeutic targets, and evaluate the efficacy and safety of new treatments using cell and experimental animal models to support translation into clinical applications.
  • Allergy and Clinical Immunology Research in upper and lower airway remodeling mechanisms of asthma focuses on the biological and environmental factors that trigger and exacerbate the condition. This work aims to identify new therapeutic targets, improve management strategies, and enhance quality of life for patients with chronic respiratory disease.
  • Complementary and Alternative Medicines Research interests also center on complementary and alternative medicine, especially non-pharmacological interventions that support mental health and well-being. Current and previous studies examine CAM use during the COVID-19 pandemic, coloring activities for anxiety reduction, Emotional Freedom Techniques, footbaths, and physiological responses in chronic pain patients and young adults.
